 SHELTER SUPERVISOR
 

Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) is accepting applications for the position of Shelter Supervisor at Wisconsin’s largest animal care and control facility.  This is a unique opportunity for an individual with strong managerial skills in the animal-related services field.  We are seeking a responsible, committed person with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.  The ability to motivate and inspire staff is a must.  

The Shelter Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shelter including: ensuring the humane and proper care of the animals housed in MADACC’s facility; training and supervising shelter staff; coordinating transfer of animals with animal placement partners; maintaining and monitoring kennel supplies and equipment; and overseeing the general maintenance of the facility and grounds.  The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience in an animal welfare or animal control organization or veterinary hospital. Certification or license as a veterinary technician an absolute plus!
