The Humane Society of the United States estimates that more than 140,000 people are involved in dogfighting in the U.S. Worse still, the gruesome practice is happening right here in Milwaukee. Hundreds of heavily scarred dogs injured in fights, mainly pit bulls, come through MADACC’s doors each year – and those are just the ones that make it out alive. The Battle Against Dogfighting (BAD) is a city-wide program to end dogfighting. We use a proven multi-agency approach to unite the community against dogfighting and to prevent dog owners from participating in this blood “sport”. See the BAD home page for more information.
